Emily grew up in a small Chicago apartment with a “backyard” of potted herbs. After earning her degree in Urban Design, she shifted from large-scale renewal projects to personal-scale vertical gardens. A trip to Barcelona, where she saw an entire building alive with plants, became the turning point for Vertgar.com. Today, Emily blends aesthetics and practicality to help anyone create a vertical garden that thrives.
